The Eldritch Tales: Lovecraftian White Box Role-Playing Referee Screen and Reference Sheets are now available at DriveThruRPG and RPGNow!
There are 5 interchangeable internal sheets containing all of the important tables from the Core Rulebook, as well as two additional bits - the Insanity Saving Throw flowchart and the Skill Reference list - both of which should prove very useful at the table. Finally there are 4 external sheets of artwork to decorate the front of your screen or use as handouts, mood setters, etc. All are color, landscape format and 8.5"x11".
The sheets are available in PDF for $3.99 and in Print (with PDF) for $9.99. If you purchase the print version, you will given the option to add a vinyl GM Screen for an additional cost at checkout. I was skeptical about the quality of the screen and bought one myself. I can tell you that this thing is HEAVY DUTY! It seem very well made, and has four panels, with sleeves front and back, and measures about 45.5" in length by 9.25" high. Have a look at the pictures below!
A few additional observations...
- The sheets are interchangeable so you can customize your GM Screen to other games!
- The cards are printed on a thick cardstock and should prove durable and long-lasting.
- The vinyl screens are only shipped from the United States, so overseas shipping is expensive. I encourage those outside the U.S. to find a vinyl GM Screen locally.
Hey Joe! Just passing by to congratulate you on this awesome work. I was looking for a system to play Lovecraftian style adventures but was finding other products (CoC and ToC) too daunting. Then I discovered Eldritch Tales via interview with Rafael Beltrame (from Brazil) and and just went to DriveThru to purchase it (I wanted the printed version but it is just too expensive to produce and order from overseas).
ReplyDeleteAnyway. I'm looking forward to read the rules and try the adventure already included on the book. : )
Also, quick question here. Do you believe that adapting Call of Cthulhu adventures for Eldritch Tales is something possible (just like Acthung! Cthulhu works both for Savage Worlds and CoC? Or It would probably break the system? Many thanks in advance! Cheers from Brazil!
Kadooom, thanks for your kind words and supporting the game! I have personally reskinned CoC scenarios without issue, it is certainly possible. Skill checks translate pretty simply; most monsters will be found in the ET rules, where they aren't, simply use your best judgment (it's not a science and you don't have to worry about breaking the game). Necessary NPCs might be remade.
DeleteInsanty Saves are where I am more careful. Because ET characters do t have the massive pool of Sanity that CoC characters do, you'll have to reduce the over sanity damage. Also, I refrain from requiring too many Insanity Saves for small horrors, like blood spatters and random corpses. Save the Saves for the really terrible stuff!
I'd like to chat with you about the overseas price of the books. Would you mind emailing me? Ravengodgames (at) gmail
Cheers!
